Epson R2400 and Ultrachrome K3 Ink Report

Jeff Schewe has posted a report on Epson’s new R2400 printer and Ultrachrome K3 inks over at PhotoshopNews.
Jeff has been using this combination since the end of last year, so he has quite a bit of experience to talk about. He has mainly been using the Advanced B&W printing abilities of the R2400, and hasn’t done much testing of its color printing capabilities.
This is a very detailed and scientific look at parameters like Dmax, neutrality (delta E), luminance (L star), etc.
The short summary is: buy this printer if you want monochrome inkjet prints to rival traditional silver gelatin prints, both in terms of quality and archivability.
