Problogger.net Group Writing Project – Photography-Related Contributions
Darren wrote this 2:47 am:
This week, Darren Rowse over at Problogger.net hosted a group writing project with the topic of “How To”. Some 343 people wrote articles for the project, with a huge range of topics that makes for some interesting reading.
There were several photography-related contributions, so I’ve linked up to them below for your convenience:
- How to Make Your Own Video Light – Not just for video, this little light can also be used to help still cameras focus properly in low light situations.
- How to Be an Environmentally Friendly Photographer – What impact does your photography have upon the environments your photograph?
- Photographing Silhouettes – Tips for taking effective photos of silhouettes.
- 7 Comments on Kayak Photography: How Did You Shoot It? – A great article inspired by queries about a particularly interesting photo. More about seeing photos than the technical process of shooting them.
- Tips Revealed: My Low Light Photography Technique – Great tips on shooting in low light.
- Taking Pictures of (Semi)-Random Peers – Good tips for anyone interested in street or social documentary photography. It’s not always easy to approach strangers to take their photo!
- How To Take Great Photos Of Children – Of course, I can’t leave out my own contribution!
Enjoy!

Thanks for the link. There were definitely some great articles in the submissions and I think I’m going to find your site useful as well as I’m just getting into photography.

Thanks for the trackback. I didn’t know if anyone would read my how-to, simply because it was so site-specific.
I liked your post, too… it will definitely help me when I’m trying to take pictures of my little cousins.
